Optician

Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking Opticians to join a collaborative and highly respected eye care team. This is a long-term onsite contract opportunity in a modern, well-equipped clinical environment where patient safety, service quality, and accurate eyewear dispensing are top priorities. You will support patients with prescription eyewear selection, fitting, measurements, repairs, adjustments, and order-related questions while working alongside a dedicated group of medical professionals in a setting that follows nationally recognized standards of care. Multiple positions may be available, offering the opportunity to be part of a strong, team-oriented practice. What You'll Do Assist patients with frame selection, lifestyle-based eyewear recommendations, fittings, and adjustments Take accurate optical measurements, including pupillary distance, segment height, base curve, and related specifications Verify eyeglass prescription details and ensure orders align with provider-issued prescriptions Perform minor eyewear repairs and adjustments, including nose pad replacement, screw replacement, frame adjustments, and related services Document patient care activity in the electronic health record and follow applicable privacy, safety, and quality standards What We're Looking For American Board of Opticianry certification required Strong technical proficiency in optical dispensing, fitting, measuring, repairs, and prescription verification Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently Current competency, training, and documentation required for patient-facing healthcare services Professional, patient-centered communication style with a strong commitment to accuracy and service excellence Schedule & Coverage This is an onsite weekday opportunity. Standard coverage is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM . Occasional special clinic coverage may be requested with advance notice. Overtime is not expected unless specifically approved in advance.
