Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, refraction assessments, and ocular health evaluations Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and ocular infections Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate treatment options tailored to each patient's needs Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and proper use of corrective devices Collaborate with ophthalmology specialists for complex cases requiring advanced intervention or surgical referral Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques during examinations and procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment Stay updated on the latest developments in ophthalmology, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology to provide cutting-edge care Skills Strong knowledge of ophthalmology practices, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Proven experience with optical equipment and understanding of optical principles for vision correction Ability to effectively communicate complex medical information with patients of all ages, including pediatrics Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and record keeping Excellent patient care skills combined with a compassionate approach to customer service Knowledge of medical coding procedures relevant to eye care services for billing accuracy Ability to perform vital signs assessment and apply aseptic techniques during examinations Join us in delivering exceptional eye care that transforms lives!
