ASSOCIATE OPTOMETRIST OPPORTUNITY!

Conduct thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, eye health, and ocular function Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, dry eye disease, glaucoma, cataracts, and other ocular diseases Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate treatment options tailored to each patient's needs Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and proper use of corrective devices to promote long-term eye wellness Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care for complex cases involving ophthalmology or pediatrics Perform vital signs assessments and utilize physiology knowledge to support comprehensive patient evaluations Uphold aseptic techniques during examinations and procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment Utilize medical terminology accurately when documenting diagnoses, treatments, and patient instructions Engage in customer service by addressing patient concerns with empathy, clarity, and professionalism while promoting the practice's servicesPREFERRED SKILLS
Strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles and ocular anatomy to inform accurate diagnoses and treatment plans Proven experience with optical equipment and understanding of optical principles for fitting lenses and frames Experience working with pediatric patients (pediatrics) to deliver age-appropriate eye care solutions Excellent patient care skills with a focus on compassionate communication and customer service excellence Familiarity with medical coding systems for billing and insurance processing Proficiency in EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms for efficient documentation Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to eye health and general medicine Ability to measure vital signs accurately as part of comprehensive assessments Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of medical records Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare teams This Associate Optometrist role is an exciting opportunity for motivated professionals eager to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through expert eye care.
