Full Job Description Description:
Perform routine and medical eye examinations under both, vision and medical insurance plans Diagnose refractive errors and prescribe glasses and corrective lenses as needed. Diagnose and treats ocular diseases, disorders, and deficiencies and create treatment plans in accordance with California State law and standard of care Utilize ophthalmic/optometric devices/equipment for proper testing when needed for patient diagnosis/treatment of ocular signs of systemic issues/pathological abnormalities Timely and accurate record keeping/patient documentation Refer patients to appropriate providers outside and within the practice when appropriate Participates in clinical meetings and contributes to the overall clinical function/flow maintenance Participates in clinical studies when the office becomes involved Participate in community outreach Contribute to social media content Preform Intense Pulse Light treatment (IPL) if desired Assist in training and education of current and new staff members inclusive of creating educational materials Ability to work as a key team player in a role of leadership Comanage surgical patients including cataract, blepharoplasty, refractive surgery, glaucoma/laser procedures Personable and friendly bedside manor
Requirements:
Completion of an approved optometric training program/graduation from school of Optometry Board certification or eligibility Residency preferred but not required Eligibility for licensure in California/Existing license in good standing in the State of California National Provider Identification (NPI) required TPA License required Prior clinical optometry experience a plus
