We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team at our Optical. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional eye care and a commitment to patient education. This role involves examining, diagnosing, and treating various eye conditions while ensuring compliance with all medical regulations and standards. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and diagnose eye diseases. Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary. Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including the use of contact lenses and glasses. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals as needed for patient referrals. Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and medical terminology. Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction and retention. Ensure the use of aseptic techniques during examinations and procedures. Assist in the management of medical records and coding for insurance purposes. Requirements Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state optometry license to practice. Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not required. Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and medical coding is preferred. Strong understanding of ophthalmology principles and practices. Ability to take vital signs as part of patient assessments. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care.
