the current state posted. Military Evaluation Services (MES) is hiring a 1099 OPTOMETRIST or
OPHTHALMOLOGIST
Examiner to perform eye and visual field exams for America's Veterans and Service Members as part of the Veterans Benefits Administration's disability claims process (also called Compensation and Pension exams). The Examiner will conduct a brief interview, review the Veteran's records, perform the exam, record the responses and data in a portal, upload visual field results (if requested), and add a medical opinion (if requested). This process provides the support that allows the VBA to determine service-connection status and rating (monetary disbursement). The ideal Examiner has experience conducting C&P exams (not required) There is no treatment, no on-call responsibilities, no scheduling, and no billing necessary on your behalf. CREDENTIALING and
HIRING REQUIREMENTS
2 years post-graduate experience required. Application will not be considered if you do not have your own office. Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume. Dentist degree from a regional-accredited university. Current and unrestricted Georgia practitioner's license with no pending criminal case. Complete credentialing applications with additional documents submitted within 2 calendar days of invitation. Complete required ~16 hours of VBA video PAID training plus agency training w/in 7 cal days = $400, w/in 14 cal days = $250, or over 15 cal days = $100. Other requirements established by the credentialing and hiring agencies that meet company, local, state, and federal standards or policies.
