Part Time Optometrist Location:
Chicago, IL 60625 Job Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Part Time Optometrist to join our eye care team in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will work alongside experienced cataract, cornea, and retina specialists to provide comprehensive eye care services to our patients. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision tests to assess patients' eye health and visual acuity. Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions in collaboration with cataract, cornea, and retina doctors. Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Assist in pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing cataract, cornea, and retina procedures. Educate patients on eye health, disease prevention, and proper use of prescribed treatments. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid Illinois Optometry license. Experience working alongside cataract, cornea, and retina specialists preferred. Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing a wide range of ocular conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility.
