- Part-time, Full-time, Contract Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and patient-focused Optometrist to join our innovative and growing practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for a doctor who enjoys practicing full-scope optometry while utilizing the latest advancements in eye care technology and treatment options. Our ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and is enthusiastic about all aspects of modern optometry, including the diagnosis and management of ocular disease, dry eye treatment, amniotic membrane therapy, myopia management, keratoconus management, and specialty contact lens fittings, including scleral lenses. We are dedicated to staying at the forefront of the profession and are looking for a provider who shares that same commitment to innovation and clinical excellence. Our practice utilizes leading myopia management solutions, including MiSight® and Stellest®, and offers patients access to the latest advancements in spectacle lens technology and contact lenses. We also provide advanced care for patients with keratoconus and other complex corneal conditions through specialty contact lens fittings and customized treatment plans. We invest in cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and treatment options to ensure our doctors have the tools needed to provide the highest standard of care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. Diagnose and treat various visual disorders and conditions. Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary. Maintain detailed medical records of patient visits, treatments, and outcomes. Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye examinations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Stay updated with advancements in optometry practices and technologies. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA standards. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state optometry license to practice (will hire new grads who are awaiting licensing from the state of Illinois) Experience in pediatrics is a plus but not required. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
