Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Optometrist to join our dynamic eye care team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and deliver exceptional patient care. Your expertise will help improve vision health and enhance the quality of life for our diverse patient community. Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function Diagnose and treat common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and refractive errors Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate vision solutions tailored to each patient's needs Maintain detailed and accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options, ensuring they understand their condition and next steps Collaborate with ophthalmologists, opticians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology, optical technology, and medical terminology to provide the highest standard of care Requirements Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with current certification to practice medicine in the designated area Proven experience in ophthalmology or general optometry practice with a strong foundation in physiology and anatomy of the eye Knowledge of optical experience including fitting lenses, contact lenses, and spectacle prescriptions Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and medical coding practices Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Excellent patient care skills with a focus on customer service and effective communication Ability to perform basic clinical procedures such as measuring vital signs, conducting visual field tests, and aseptic techniques during examinations Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus, demonstrating adaptability across age groups Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through expert eye care! Pay:
$500.00 - $600.00 per day
