Job Description

Overview Compensation:
Salary range $150 - 165k plus productivity bonuses We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, ocular health evaluations, and patient education. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life through accurate diagnoses, effective treatments, and personalized eyewear solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, possess extensive knowledge of optometry and physiology, and be proficient in modern electronic medical record (EMR) and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and ocular health status Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate optical solutions tailored to individual needs Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options to promote long-term ocular wellness Utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively for documentation, scheduling, and follow-up care Collaborate with ophthalmologists, opticians, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient management Stay current with advancements in optometry, medical terminology, and industry best practices Assist in sales activities by providing expert advice on optical products while ensuring excellent customer service Requirements Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with relevant certifications Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice settings Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the eye Familiarity with medical coding procedures for billing purposes Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and medical records management software Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service excellence Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure confidentiality and data security Ability to perform detailed assessments including vital signs measurement and aseptic techniques Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not mandatory If you are passionate about advancing eye health through compassionate patient care and technical expertise, we encourage you to apply today.
