Job Description

Job Summary Dependable Eye Care, Inc. is a patient-focused eye care practice dedicated to delivering comprehensive vision and ocular health services to the local community. Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function Diagnose and treat common eye conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, glaucoma, and other ocular diseases Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate eyewear solutions tailored to each patient's needs Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens use, and preventive care strategies to promote long-term ocular wellness Collaborate with ophthalmology specialists on complex cases requiring specialized intervention or surgical consultation Ensure aseptic techniques are followed during examinations to maintain a sterile environment and prevent infections Requirements Valid license to practice as an Optometrist in the relevant jurisdiction with current certification Strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to eye care Experience with optical equipment, EMR/EHR systems, and medical coding for accurate documentation and billing Familiarity with pediatric eye care to effectively serve patients across all age groups including children Excellent patient care skills with a focus on customer service, empathy, and clear communication Ability to perform vital signs assessment and understand the importance of aseptic techniques during examinations Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times
Pay:
$500.00 - $700.00 per day
