Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optometrist, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive eye care and enhancing patients' vision health. You will conduct thorough eye examinations, diagnose vision problems, and recommend effective treatment plans while ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to healthcare regulations. Duties Perform detailed eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, eye health, and overall ocular function Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, and other ophthalmologic issues Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate optical solutions tailored to each patient's needs Maintain accurate and thorough medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on eye health, proper hygiene, and preventive care strategies to promote long-term ocular wellness Collaborate with optical technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Manage patient flow efficiently while delivering outstanding customer service and addressing individual concerns with professionalism and empathy Experience Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice with a strong foundation in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to eye health Hands-on optical experience with fitting lenses, contact lenses, and managing optical equipment Knowledge of pediatric eye care to effectively serve young patients with specialized needs Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient visits and medical records Understanding of medical coding practices relevant to optometry services for billing purposes Experience adhering to aseptic techniques and maintaining sterile environments during examinations and procedures Strong customer service skills combined with sales aptitude to educate patients about products while ensuring their satisfaction Join us as an Optometrist where your expertise will help improve vision health across diverse populations.
