is seeking to add one (1) Optometrist to our Team ASAP. This position is located at the Northern Cheyenne Service Unit in Lame Deer, Montana.

Pay:

$170/hour 1099 all-inclusive On-site housing is available Tentative start date : ASAP, Dependent on Security and Credentialing Duration of contract : Twelve (12) months with options to extend

Note:

The duration of the contract is between the government and us. Like any other job, if life means you must leave, you give us a 60-day notice.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited institution. Current, unrestricted license to practice optometry in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical experience preferred.

OT, Weekend or Holiday Duties:

Perform comprehensive eye examinations and refractions. Diagnose and manage ocular diseases, visual disorders, and injuries. Prescribe corrective lenses and therapeutic medications as permitted by licensure. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as visual fields, fundus photography, and OCT. Coordinate with other medical providers for referrals, co-management, and follow-up care. About the

Indian Health Service has provided health care at the Northern Cheyenne Reservation since 1955. Initially services were shared by both the Crow and Northern Cheyenne. The Northern Cheyenne Service Unit is a beautiful, modern ambulatory care facility in Southeastern Montana that offers outpatient care as well as 24 hour urgent care to approximately 6300 enrolled patients. In addition to outpatient and urgent care, Optometry, Dental, Physical Therapy and Behavioral Health are also provided. Lab and Radiology are open during clinic hours. Evening clinic hours, open until 7:00pm, are offered Monday - Thursday.
