Job Description
Overview Join our Dynamic Eye Care team as an Optometrist, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive eye care and enhancing patients' vision health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in ophthalmology, patient care, and optical services to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. You will conduct thorough eye examinations, diagnose vision problems, and recommend appropriate treatments or corrective lenses, all while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology will be essential in ensuring accurate assessments and quality care. Duties Perform detailed eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, and other ocular diseases with precision and confidence Prescribe corrective lenses or treatments tailored to each patient's needs, ensuring optimal visual outcomes Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens use, and preventive care strategies to promote long-term ocular wellness Collaborate with optical staff to ensure proper fitting of glasses and contact lenses, supporting sales goals through excellent customer service Follow aseptic techniques during examinations and procedures to prevent infections and ensure patient safety Qualifications Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with current certification to practice medicine in the designated region Strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to eye care Experience with optical equipment, EMR/EHR systems, and medical coding for billing purposes Familiarity with pediatric eye care to effectively serve patients of all ages including children Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to addressing individual needs and concerns Ability to perform vital signs assessments when necessary and follow aseptic techniques during clinical procedures Strong customer service orientation combined with sales skills to recommend appropriate eyewear solutions confidently Join us in delivering top-tier eye care that transforms lives!
