Job Description

Overview Join our private MD/OD office as an Optometrist, where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive eye care and enhancing patients' visual health. This exciting position offers the opportunity to utilize your expertise in a patient-centered environment. You will be responsible for conducting thorough eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems, and recommending appropriate treatments or corrective lenses. Your dedication to exceptional service and clinical excellence will help improve the quality of life for our diverse patient community. Responsibilities Perform detailed eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function Diagnose and manage common and complex eye conditions, including those related to pediatrics and general ophthalmology Prescribe corrective lenses and other vision aids, ensuring optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options, fostering a positive patient experience through excellent customer service Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with systemic conditions affecting ocular health Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques to ensure best practices in patient care Skills Experience with optometry equipment and o experience to assist in lens fitting and visual correction solutions Ability to provide compassionate patient care across all age groups, including pediatrics Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of medical records and vital signs Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Proficiency in medical coding related to eye care procedures for billing accuracy Excellent customer service skills combined with sales acumen to recommend appropriate products while maintaining ethical standards Join us if you're passionate about making a difference through expert eye care! Pay:
$145,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
