This is a temporary assignment with the potential for extension based on practice needs. We are a busy, medically focused ophthalmology practice seeking a provider who is comfortable working in a collaborative MD/OD environment while delivering exceptional patient care. Position Highlights Immediate start preferred. Temporary locum assignment. Potential for extension based on practice needs. See approximately 25-30 patients per day. Established patient schedule and experienced clinical support staff. Competitive daily rate based on experience and clinical capabilities. Clinical Responsibilities Comprehensive eye examinations. Medical optometry and ocular disease management. Pre-operative and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients. Dry eye evaluations and treatment recommendations. Patient education regarding surgical and treatment options. Collaboration with the ophthalmology team to provide comprehensive patient care. Required Qualifications Active and unrestricted New Jersey Optometry license required. Ability to begin seeing patients immediately. Strong clinical and patient communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in an MD/OD ophthalmology practice. Experience managing medical optometry patients independently. Experience with cataract, refractive surgery, and dry eye patients. Familiarity with Nextech EHR. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Compensation Competitive daily rate based on experience, productivity, and clinical capabilities.
