In this vital role, you will perform comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and treat visual and ocular conditions, and educate patients on eye health maintenance. Your expertise will help enhance the quality of life for diverse patient populations through precise assessments and personalized care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic clinical environment. Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools, including tonometry and other medical equipment, to assess visual acuity, eye health, and physiological function. Diagnose common and complex ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, refractive errors, and pediatric eye issues, utilizing your knowledge of ophthalmology principles. Prescribe corrective lenses or contact lenses tailored to individual needs and educate patients on proper usage and maintenance. Manage medical records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans, including referrals for specialized ophthalmology services when necessary.
