Position Overview The Optometrist is responsible for the clinical care of all patients examined at the Vision Center. Diagnoses, manages, and treats conditions and diseases of the human eye and visual system. General Responsibilities Examines eyes and visual system Diagnoses problems or impairments Prescribes corrective lenses May prescribe therapeutic drugs to treat specific eye conditions Performs related duties as required Qualifications Doctor of Optometry Degree from an accredited college or university is required Unrestricted license to practice optometry in the State of Ohio is required 3+ years of Optometric experience preferred Must have excellent communication and customer service skills Windows-based computer experience required Benefits Five Rivers Health Center offers a complete benefits package including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, paid holidays, paid vacation & sick days, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, wellness incentives, department incentives, and 401(k).
