Job Description

Lakeway Vision Associates is looking for a new associate optometrist to join our established and growing practice in picturesque Lakeway, just outside Austin, Texas. At Lakeway Vision, we believe in compassionate, full-scope eye care and serving our patients like we would our family. For this reason, we create a schedule that allows for patient education and communication. You can expect to see 16-20 comprehensive and problem-focused exams per day and you will be supported every step of the way by our fabulous staff of technicians and opticians. With access to technology such as Optos retinal imaging, OCT, Humphery Field Analyzer, Humphery FDT screening perimetry, Autorefractor, topographer, and Non-contact Tonometer, you will have all the necessary tools to confidently assess each patient's needs. Our ideal candidate is highly skilled and capable of confidently handling a range of patients with varying visual needs and age groups. This doctor should be enthusiastic about staying up to date on the latest advancements in optometry and personalized treatment plans. He/she should also thrive in a collaborative work environment. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree Up-to-date professional liability insurance DEA registered Strong patient care and communication skills Knowledge of clinical standards for the treatment of eye conditions and diseases Ability to recommend and fit various types of contact lenses Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology Experience with EMR and EHR systems Ability to coordinate care with ophthalmology and other medical specialties Experience in working with patients of different ages
