Opportunities available in heart of Dallas We are seeking an engaging Optometrist to work on a per diem (PRN) basis who wants to make an impact, to join our team and support our new vision clinic. As part of the team, you'll be responsible for providing direct primary optometric healthcare services and participate as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

) Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do: Perform comprehensive eye and vision tests Diagnose defects of the eye, such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma Provide personalized temporary and permanent solutions to sight issues based on each patient's specific case and medical history Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, and contact lenses Refer eye doctors and ophthalmologists when patients need to undergo a surgery or in cases of severe eye injuries Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers for coordinated patient care Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction efforts What you need to succeed To be a productive member of our team, you will have a pleasant and professional demeanor, self-starter, ability to work independently, strong communication skills and the ability to preserve confidentiality. You will also have the following: Must be a licensed Optometrist for the practice of optometry in the State of Texas, licensed through the Texas Optometry Board. Minimum 1 year of work experience as an Optometrist Must have an in-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects Must have a strong attention to detail Bilingual in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese, or Rohingya is a plus Experience in a clinical setting with a diverse patient population Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar along with MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) Have a servant heart with the desire to make a positive impact in the community We're battling the Dallas Community's Healthcare Crisis At HHM Health, our mission is to provide quality healthcare to all its neighbors with love, compassion, and respect.
