As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality eye care services to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical terminology and a passion for patient care. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to effectively diagnose and treat various eye conditions. Our ideal candidate will also have experience with optical and ophthalmology, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care. Duties
  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams, including visual acuity tests, refractions, and other diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribe and fit contact lenses and glasses, as well as recommend vision care products.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account patient health and any relevant medical history.
  • Use medical coding to accurately document patient diagnoses and treatments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, adhering to aseptic technique to prevent infection.
  • Work closely with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ophthalmology and optical technology.
  • Participate in succession planning and contribute to the growth and development of the practice. Experience
  • A Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
  • A current license to practice optometry in the state where the position is located.
  • A strong foundation in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
  • Experience with patient care, including working with patients of all ages.
  • Familiarity with vital signs and the ability to take them accurately.
  • Experience with medical coding and the ability to use it effectively.
  • A commitment to providing excellent patient care and a passion for staying current with the latest advancements in ophthalmology and optical technology.
