Job Summary This position is for the future costco opening August 7th. We are looking for someone to start with us and develop a patient base and continue to grow. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life by ensuring optimal eye health and vision correction. You will work closely with patients of all ages, offering personalized care while utilizing advanced techniques and modern electronic medical record (EMR) systems. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function using specialized ophthalmology tools and techniques Diagnose and treat common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and refractive errors, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate optical solutions tailored to each patient's needs Perform pediatric eye assessments, addressing the unique requirements of young patients with patience and care Utilize EMR and EHR systems to document patient histories, vital signs, test results, and treatment plans efficiently and accurately Educate patients on eye health maintenance, proper use of medications, and preventive care strategies Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care involving physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and medical terminology expertise Qualifications Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with current certification to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction Strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology Experience working with optical equipment and performing detailed eye examinations for diverse patient populations including pediatrics Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and record keeping Excellent customer service skills combined with sales experience to recommend suitable optical products effectively Ability to perform vital signs measurement, aseptic technique during procedures, and medical coding for billing purposes This role is perfect for motivated professionals eager to deliver exceptional patient care while advancing their expertise in optometry. Pay:
$140,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
