Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ophthalmologist or Optometrist to join our healthcare team on a full-time or part-time basis. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including examinations, diagnoses, treatments, and patient education. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' vision health within a supportive and professional environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and physiological function. Diagnose and manage a variety of eye conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, and pediatric eye issues. Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on eye health maintenance, preventive care, and treatment options to promote long-term visual wellness. Collaborate with optical staff to ensure proper fitting of eyewear and optical products. Follow aseptic techniques during examinations and procedures to uphold patient safety standards. Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology or optometry practices through ongoing professional development. Qualifications Valid license to practice as an Ophthalmologist or Optometrist in the respective state or region. Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry with a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to eye health. Knowledge of optical equipment, medical coding, and billing procedures related to eye care services. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and record keeping. Excellent patient care skills combined with a customer service-oriented approach. Ability to communicate complex medical information clearly and compassionately to diverse patient populations. Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not mandatory. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques necessary for maintaining clinical safety standards.
