  • Full-time Job Summary Coastal Eye Institute is seeking a bilingual Pediatric Ophthalmic Assistant.
This position works closely with our pediatric ophthalmologist to provide exceptional care to infants, children, and adolescents in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, maintains a positive attitude, and is committed to creating a welcoming and reassuring experience for our young patients and their families. Qualifications Fluent in both English and Spanish (required) High school diploma or equivalent Previous medical or ophthalmic experience is a plus but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate Comfortable working with pediatric patients of all ages Proficient with computers and technology Available to work weekdays and most Saturday mornings Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality patient care Warm, cheerful, patient and compassionate when interacting with children and families Responsibilities Escort patients to examination rooms Perform computerized ophthalmic testing on pediatric patients Administer dilating eye drops to children under physician direction Accurately document patient information in the medical record Assist with maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies Help create a calm, friendly, and supportive environment for children and their families Why join Coastal Eye Institute?
