Schedule Tuesdays:
Outpatient clinic (8 hours)
Wednesdays:
NICU rounds and follow-up clinic as needed Confirmed coverage dates: July 1, 2026; July 22, 2026; July 29, 2026 Additional August dates may become available Patient Population and Case Mix Neonates, infants, and pediatric patients ROP screening, evaluation, treatment and follow-up NICU ophthalmology consultations General pediatric ophthalmology outpatient care Admissions and inpatient rounding included Facility and Resources Children's hospital (trauma level: Children's Hospital) Ophthalmology clinic equipment available Specialty backup: Neonatology, Pediatrics, NICU services Support staff: Nursing, clinic staff, NICU team EMR and department bed count: TBD Privileges, Credentialing, Compliance Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges: TBD Credentialing timeline: TBD Participate in orientation and required compliance activities prior to first shift
Compensation and Logistics Rate:
TBD Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance: covered Required Qualifications Active Florida medical license Board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology Active DEA registration Facility-required certifications (e.g., BLS/ACLS) as applicable Pediatric ophthalmology experience required; ROP evaluation and treatment experience preferred Core Responsibilities Provide vacation relief pediatric ophthalmology coverage Conduct outpatient clinics and NICU rounds per schedule Perform ROP screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care Manage NICU ophthalmology consults and inpatient ophthalmology admissions Collaborate with NICU, neonatology, and pediatric teams Document care per facility standards
