Job Description

This position is for our Jackson MS Flag Ship location where we have served patients and the community for over 34 years. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to join our healthcare team at Buckner Prosthetics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices for patients with limb loss or deformities. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for our patients. Responsibilities Assess patient needs through comprehensive evaluations and physical examinations. Design and fabricate custom prosthetic devices tailored to individual patient requirements. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop treatment plans. Educate patients and their families on the use and maintenance of prosthetic devices. Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques during the fitting and adjustment processes. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical terminology and treatment progress. Provide ongoing support and adjustments as needed throughout the patient's rehabilitation process. Stay updated on advancements in prosthetic technology and best practices in patient service. Experience A degree in Prosthetics or Orthotics is required; post-residency experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to prosthetics. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus. Proven ability to deliver excellent patient care with a focus on service quality. Familiarity with aseptic techniques in a clinical setting is essential.
