In this vital role, you will assess patients' needs, design and fabricate custom orthotic devices, and deliver exceptional patient care to improve mobility and quality of life. Your expertise will help ensure patients receive personalized, effective solutions through comprehensive evaluations and innovative orthotic interventions. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations to evaluate patients' musculoskeletal and neurological conditions Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized orthotic treatment plans based on physiology and anatomy knowledge Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthotic devices tailored to each patient's specific needs Provide detailed patient education on orthotic use, care, and maintenance to promote optimal outcomes Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with medical terminology standards Apply aseptic techniques during device fabrication and fittings to ensure patient safety and infection control Stay current with advancements in orthotics technology and post-residency best practices to enhance patient care quality Requirements Certification as a licensed or registered Orthotist with recognized credentialing bodies Prior experience working with pediatric populations (pediatrics) is highly desirable Strong commitment to patient service and delivering compassionate patient care Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to orthotics Experience performing physical examinations and applying aseptic techniques during procedures Knowledge of post-residency practices in orthotics to ensure adherence to industry standards Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and clear patient education Join us if you are passionate about transforming lives through innovative orthotic solutions!
