Resident - Department of Prosthetics-Orthotics UT Southwestern - 3.8 Dallas, TX Job Details Full-time 20 hours ago Benefits Paid parental leave Paid holidays Health insurance Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Parental leave Loan forgiveness Childcare Qualifications Research Master's degree Full Job Description Specific responsibilities: The residency program is essential to the academic mission of the School of Health Professions and ensures UTSW remains a leader in Prosthetic-Orthotic education. Provided direct patient care and fabrication under the supervision of a certified prosthetist-orthotics in outpatient and hospital settings. Fabrication and timely documentation. Assist in research projects for the program. Fulfill NCOPE residency requirements. Performs other duties as assigned Residency training is a requirement for Prosthetics-Orthotics graduates' certification. Prosthetics-Orthotics residents provide direct patient care and fabrication under the supervision of a P-O clinician. This involves seeing patients in outpatient clinics and University hospitals. Residents also increase the volume of patients that can be served in the Prosthetics-Orthotics clinic. Salary Salary Non-Negotiable Experience and Education Must have graduated from an NCOPE-accredited program with a Master's degree in prosthetics-orthotics Selected applicants will need to apply for a Texas license upon hire. Job Duties / Descriptions Provide direct patient care and fabrication under the supervision of a certified prosthetist-orthotics in outpatient and hospital settings.
