Job Description

Company Overview Cal Tahoe Emergency Services Operations Authority is a Joint Powers Authority formed by the City of South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue and Lake Valley Fire Protection District. Our mission is to provide high-quality emergency medical services to our community, ensuring rapid response and effective patient care. Summary We are seeking a Per Diem Paramedic to join our team at Cal Tahoe Emergency Services Operations Authority. This role is essential in delivering critical pre-hospital care and emergency response, making a significant impact on the health and safety of our community. Per Diem Paramedic expectations include a minimum of three shifts per month and 3 holidays per year (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). Shift requests beyond the minimum requirement can be made via the shared calendar. Responsibilities Provide advanced life support and emergency medical care to patients in the field. Assess patients' conditions and vital signs to determine appropriate treatment. Administer medications and perform medical procedures as necessary. Collaborate with other emergency responders to ensure effective patient transport. Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records for each call. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in emergency medicine. Requirements High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) California Paramedic License Valid Driver's License Valid Ambulance Driver's License
