As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced pre-hospital care, ensuring patients receive timely, compassionate, and effective treatment. Your role is essential in delivering high-quality emergency medical interventions, supporting patient stabilization, and coordinating with hospitals to facilitate seamless transitions of care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in fast-paced environments, utilizing your critical thinking and clinical skills to save lives and improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing advanced life support and critical care transport for patients in various settings. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to determine the severity of conditions. Manage airways effectively through airway management techniques, including intubation and ventilation support. Administer medications via injection or other methods following established protocols while monitoring patient responses. Perform invasive procedures such as venipuncture and injections with precision and aseptic technique to ensure patient safety. Utilize physiology and anatomy knowledge to interpret vital signs and medical data accurately for informed decision-making. Operate emergency vehicles safely under various driving conditions, including heavy lifting and physically demanding scenarios typical of urgent care environments. Collaborate with hospital staff at Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers to ensure continuity of care during patient handoff. Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient care activities, medical interventions, and transport details adhering to regulatory standards. Support triage processes in emergency rooms or urgent care settings by prioritizing patient needs based on severity and urgency. Experience Proven experience as a Paramedic with a strong background in emergency medicine and critical care transport. Critical care experience within hospital settings or specialized transport environments is highly desirable. Prior work at Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers demonstrating advanced trauma management skills. Hands-on experience with airway management, medication administration, venipuncture, and physical examinations. Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) use in pre-hospital settings is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments accurately using medical terminology and physiology knowledge. Experience in emergency room or urgent care environments enhances readiness for fast-paced scenarios requiring decisive action. Valid Paramedic certification with ongoing training in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are preferred.
