This is NOT flexible. You must be at location and ready to work by this date or you are not eligible for this 30-day contract. You will work 12 hours on 12 hours off (84 hrs a week). OT after 40 hrs. Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Contract emt for a 30-day assignment, delivering critical pre-hospital emergency medical services in fast-paced environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your advanced clinical skills, provide life-saving care, and support patient recovery during urgent situations. As a vital member of our emergency response team, you will operate in diverse settings, including hospital-based transports and community emergencies, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between emergency scenes and hospital care, making a tangible difference in patients' lives every day. Responsibilities Provide advanced emergency medical care to patients in various settings, including scene responses and inter-facility transports Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans Manage airway techniques and ventilation support using airway management tools and techniques Administer medications via injections and other routes, adhering strictly to protocols and aseptic techniques Conduct triage to prioritize patient needs efficiently during high-pressure situations Operate medical equipment such as DME (Durable Medical Equipment), monitors, and infusion devices accurately Maintain detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatments administered, vital signs, and transport reports Collaborate with hospital staff during handoffs to ensure continuity of care and accurate communication of patient status Drive emergency response vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and heavy lifting safety protocols during patient extrication or transfer Qualifications Valid EMT certification with current licensure; additional paramedic certification preferred Critical care experience within hospital or pre-hospital environments is highly desirable Extensive hospital experience, particularly in emergency rooms or trauma centers (Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred) Proven skills in airway management, venipuncture, injection administration, and vital signs monitoring Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency medicine protocols Experience with critical care transport services and urgent care operations Ability to perform physical examinations confidently while maintaining aseptic technique standards Excellent patient assessment skills with a focus on trauma and medical emergencies Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to perform heavy lifting safely during patient extrication or equipment handling Familiarity with DME usage, medication administration procedures, and vital signs documentation Embark on a rewarding journey where your expertise directly impacts lives.
