Prompt and regular attendance at work. Provide quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and approved medical protocols. Assess and treat with appropriate techniques (resources and equipment), any medical situation while maintaining the highest standard of patient care and professionalism according to current company standards. Provide quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge and appropriate administration of Critical Care Training, ACLS, and Critical Care Transport Standing Orders. Must attend all Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses as required by MedFleet Clinical Operations Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with other individuals within the community and EMS system Assist in treating with appropriate techniques (resources and equipment) any medical situation while maintaining the highest standard of patient care according to current Company standards. Complete run reports for each transport with appropriate patient care documentation and billing information. Maintain Paramedic/CCP continued medical education requirements to maintain a higher level of training and education. Maintain thorough knowledge of the ambulance, equipment, supplies, and medications. Will provide our customers with professional and courteous communication and service. Will actively market the ALS/CCP program to maintain a positive image and understanding of the ALS/CCP program. Understand the procedure for vehicle checkout, reporting equipment failure, submitting expended supply reports on a daily basis. Record all runs in ALS/CCP Log spreadsheet when indicated. Attend Paramedic/CCP Staff meetings. Perform stocking and cleaning of vehicle and station. In depth knowledge and understanding of ALS/CCP policies and procedures. Complete other duties as assigned. Performs other such duties as may be requiredMinimum Qualifications:
Current Florida Paramedic certification (Information for out-of-state applicants or to renew click here) CurrentBLS & ACLS
Certification Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license upon offer of employment.High School Diploma or GED Desired Qualifications:
A.S. Degree in Emergency Medical Technology Two years working experience as a Paramedic. National Registry Critical patient inter-facility transfer experience Critical Care certification Physical Requirements The Paramedic is required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance, step, stoop, kneel; and talk or hear. The Paramedic is required to pull, lift, grasp, reach, use hands, finger movement, and repetitive motions. Must frequently lift and/or carry a minimum of 140 pounds up to 200 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Requirements will vary; must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Working Environment:
Works outdoors and indoors with occasional exposure to hazardous conditions and to blood/body fluids, requires respirator use, fumes/odors, extended day, and temperature changes. Frequently works with others, face-to-face contact with others with exposure to noise, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment.
