IFT Critical Care - Paramedic Full Time/ Part Time

Job Overview We are seeking motivated and experienced IFT (Interfacility Transport) Critical Care Paramedics to join our team in full-time or part-time roles. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in critical care, hospital environments, and emergency medicine, with the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during interfacility transports. Duties Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate critical care transport for patients between healthcare facilities, including Level I Trauma Centers and Level II trauma centers. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiology evaluations to determine appropriate care needs. Manage airway interventions and utilize airway management techniques to ensure patient safety during transport. Administer medications via injection or other routes as prescribed, following aseptic techniques and medical protocols. Monitor and interpret vital signs and medical data continuously during transport, adjusting care plans as necessary. Collaborate with hospital staff and emergency teams to coordinate patient handoffs and ensure continuity of care. Operate emergency medical equipment (DME) such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and monitors while adhering to safety standards. Drive ambulance vehicles responsibly, demonstrating proficiency in driving skills required for urgent care situations involving heavy lifting or challenging conditions. Experience Critical care experience within hospital settings or emergency rooms is essential. Prior experience working at Level I Trauma Centers or similar high-acuity environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in patient assessment, medical terminology, venipuncture, and medication administration. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, emergency medicine procedures, and aseptic techniques. Experience with airway management devices and critical care transport protocols is required. EMT experience combined with advanced training in critical care transport enhances suitability for this role. Ability to perform physical examinations accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety during transport.
