Sign-on Bonus Eligible Supporting Macon, Milledgeville Markets & Surrounding Communities Full-time and PRN openings available In this role, you will provide advanced life support (ALS) care across all age groups, performing rapid assessment, stabilization, treatment, and safe transport in line with EMS protocols and medical direction. This role functions as a key member of the EMS team, using sound clinical judgment and technical skill in high‑acuity, time‑sensitive situations while ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and effective coordination with healthcare providers, public safety partners, and receiving facilities. Perform rapid assessments (airway, breathing, circulation, neuro, vitals) and deliver life‑saving interventions. Administer medications, manage airways, run cardiac monitors, defibrillate, and perform other ALS procedures. Safely lift, move, and transport patients using proper body mechanics and infection‑prevention practices. Drive emergency vehicles safely and professionally during emergency and non‑emergency responses. Document all care accurately and on time in electronic patient care records. Communicate clearly with patients, families, public safety partners, and hospital teams. Maintain readiness of vehicles, equipment, and supplies; report issues promptly. Participate in training, continuing education, and quality improvement. Support a culture of safety, teamwork, professionalism, and accountability. What We Are Looking For Current, active, and unencumbered Georgia Paramedic License issued by the Georgia Office of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma required and must be maintained without lapse. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required and must be maintained without lapse. Valid Georgia Driver's License required, with a driving record that meets organizational motor vehicle and hospital driving policy requirements. Must meet organizational requirements for criminal background screening, licensure verification, and ongoing eligibility to practice. Prerequisite education requirements are validated by the Georgia Office of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma as part of the Paramedic licensure process. Minimum of one (1) year of experience functioning in a Paramedic role or equivalent advanced life support environment required. Any variation or exception to this experience requirement must be reviewed and approved by the Director of Emergency Medical Services or the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) with purview over the service line.
