Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Paramedic specializing in Special Events to provide critical emergency medical services in dynamic and high-pressure environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including critical care and hospital experience, along with a strong foundation in patient assessment, airway management, and emergency medicine. As a Paramedic - Special Events, you will deliver prompt, professional, and compassionate care to individuals in need during various public gatherings, sporting events, concerts, and festivals, ensuring safety and well-being at all times. Duties Respond swiftly to medical emergencies at special event venues, providing advanced life support and critical care interventions. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses. Manage airway patency using appropriate techniques and equipment; administer injections and medications following established protocols. Perform advanced procedures such as venipuncture, medication administration, and aseptic techniques to stabilize patients. Collaborate with event staff, emergency services, and hospital teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate rapid transportation when necessary. Maintain detailed documentation of patient encounters, treatments administered, and vital signs for legal and medical records. Operate emergency vehicles safely under various driving conditions while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards; handle heavy lifting of equipment or patients when required. Ensure all medical equipment (DME) is properly maintained, sterilized, and ready for immediate use during events. Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, trauma levels (Level I Trauma Center experience), and emergency medicine principles to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Experience Proven experience as a Paramedic with a background in critical care transport or emergency room settings. Demonstrated hospital experience with exposure to urgent care or trauma centers; Level II trauma center experience is highly desirable. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs interpretation, and patient assessment techniques. Prior experience in triage procedures within emergency medicine environments; familiarity with airway management and medication administration protocols. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to emergency care situations. Experience working in high-stakes environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or similar settings requiring rapid decision-making under pressure. Valid EMT certification with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications in advanced airway management or critical care are advantageous.
