H&W is a federally mandated fringe benefit — it is not discretionary. The $5.09/hr can be applied in one of two ways: it can be directed toward your share of the company's medical benefits plan (health, dental, vision), effectively reducing or eliminating your out-of-pocket premium cost; or, if you waive employer-sponsored coverage and provide proof of other qualifying coverage, it can be paid to you as cash in lieu of benefits, added directly to your paycheck. Either way, you receive the full value — it is part of your total compensation, not a deduction from your base pay. Benefits and CultureAT&T FirstNet device, ZOLL emsCharts, and full EMS Unlimited technology stack Peer recognition through Bonusly Growth opportunities in a fast-expanding multi-state EMS organization Direct W-2 employment — no agencies, no middlemen QualificationsRequired QualificationsCurrent, valid Kansas Paramedic license (KBEMS)Current NRP — Nationally Registered Paramedic (NREMT) Minimum 1 year of NRP-level experience within the last 2 yearCurrent BLS certification — AHA or ARC (no online-only courses) Valid driver's license with clean driving record Completion of an approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC)Ability to pass a U.S. Army installation background investigation (NACI or equivalent) U.S. citizenship or authorized to work in the United States Preferred QualificationsACLS and PALS certificationsCCT-P, FP-C, or CCP-C critical care certification Experience on a federal, DoD, or military installation EMS contract Familiarity with ZOLL emsCharts and controlled substance management911 EMS experienceAdditional InformationAll information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
