Job Description

Job Summary and Qualifications What you should expect to do in this role: You will establish IV access as delegated by a RN. You will provide assistance with patient care, transportation of patients, specimens and supplies; cleaning and stocking the department, patient rooms and transport ambulance; other duties as assigned You will perform intra facility transport Your job will perform assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN You will suppor t nursing personnel in providing care to patients and assists with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for healthcare delivery You will answer telephone and intercom efficiently and courteously, relaying messages and calls to appropriate personnel and other departments as needed Your role maintains records, transcribes physician orders, and assures orders are carried out in an expeditious manner W hat qualification you will need for this role: Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Current certification/licensure as a Paramedic per state requirements. High School Diploma Minimum 2 years of experience as a field paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital - Current clinical competency must be demonstrated and additional education/training may be required Ability to routinely multi-task in a busy, stressful, fast -paced environment and take appropriate action Current certification/licensure as a Paramedic or EMTA (Emergency Medical Technician Advanced) per state requirements Benefits Wesley Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
