How you'll make an impact in this role Provide advanced life support for critically ill/injured patients at the scene and during transport as part of the transport team. Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient during inter-facility and intra-facility as part of the transport team in collaboration with the transport physician and/or Registered Nurse. Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate. Contact receiving medical personnel, report observations and follow directives. Inspect, maintain and care for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public. May be required to drive an ambulance to transport patients and/or supplies. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification /

Registration:

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date OR job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted. Paramedic credentialed from the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services (KSBEMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transferdate required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. What additional requirements you'll need 2 years experience as a paramedic with a 911 service Ability to work both Day and Night Shifts - 6:30am-7:00pm and 6:30pm-7:00am
