Paramedic PRN Night Shift ED

Job Summary Provides direct patient care, within their scope of practice, under a physician's supervision. Assists in the assessment of the physical and psychosocial needs of patients. Performs clinical job duties as defined in orientation. Provide patient care according to hospital policy and procedure. Safely administer medications following hospital policy and procedure, within their license's scope. Records all documentation accurately in the EHR. Compliance with HIPAA policy and procedures. Demonstrates understanding of and compliance with EMTALA regulations. Communicates a positive and caring attitude towards the patient and family. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Graduate from an approved Paramedic Program Current Paramedic License in the state of Louisiana Registered Paramedic with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Maintain current

CPR/BLS, ACLS, PALS, & MOAB

- available onsite Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or Hospital Experience - preferred Requirements Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally. Proficient in the use of computers. Effective planning, organizing, and time management skills. Ability to identify medical emergencies and assist with management. Skills in dexterity for moving and positioning patients. Periodic pushing, pulling, and lifting patients.
