We are growing and seeking Paramedics (EMT-P) to join our dedicated Johns Hopkins Hospital Transport Team. Whether full-time or part-time, you'll be part of a company that values your skills, professionalism, and commitment to patient care. Position Summary The Paramedic provides advanced and basic life support, patient assessment and care, and transport services. This role requires safely operating ambulances, administering emergency medical treatment within your certification, and maintaining compliance with all company protocols and regulatory requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Current, valid Maryland and DC EMT-Paramedic certification . BLS and ACLS certifications required. Minimum of 1 year of EMS or emergency medical experience preferred. Must meet all company and regulatory requirements for paramedic practice. Reliable transportation and professional appearance required. Essential Duties Provide advanced life support and emergency medical care during transport. Safely operate and maintain ambulances and other equipment. Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, including vital signs and treatments administered. Assist patients with transfers, lifts, and mobility, safely maneuvering up to 250 lbs. Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and dispatch. Maintain cleanliness and stock of vehicles, equipment, and workspaces. Complete accurate records, documentation, and reports. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements. Participate in training, company meetings, and special assignments as required. Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate narrow or obstacle-filled spaces. Vision, hearing, and mobility sufficient for safe patient care and equipment operation. Work Environment Fast-paced, dynamic EMS environment. Exposure to outdoor elements, mechanical equipment, and moderate noise. Requires flexibility to work beyond scheduled shifts when needed. Why Join LifeStar Response?
