    Base Pay Range:
    $19.15 - $30.23/hour, based on experience
      Special Pay:
      Additional $2.00 per hour until 6/27/26
        Shift Differentials:
        Additional $2.00 per hour for evening shifts

        DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
        Assess patient condition and medical needs and apply interventions and/or procedures within the scope of practice, when necessary and appropriate. Assess, intervene, and reassess patient self-report of pain symptoms promptly. Utilize an appropriate tool for assessment and reassessment. Demonstrate an understanding of medications regarding action and side effects. Report pertinent information to the appropriate individual. Educate patients and significant others about their medications. Demonstrate the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions in accomplishing goals and intended patient care outcomes. Maintain the standards of care and implement the policies and procedures of the hospital and assigned department. Participate in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups. Assist in the transport of critical patients to in-patient units, if applicable. Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate person (physicians, supervising nurse, charge nurse) and record those observations accurately and concisely. Provide quality care to patients and work within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest patient satisfaction. May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents
        REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
        Paramedic (EMT-P or EMT-CP) licensure by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS).
        PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
        One (1) year of paramedic experience. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
        PHYSICAL DEMANDS
        The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
