Job Description

Job Summary Currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic individuals to fill Paramedic positions to respond to non-emergency medical calls and inter-facility transports. Prospective applicants must have clean criminal and driving record. Applicants must have a valid NC Paramedic certification, current CPR, ACLS, PALS, ITLS or PHTLS card, and a valid North Carolina Class C drivers license. Prospective applicants will be required to pass boarding with our Medical Director. Prospective applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal, driving record check. This work involves periods of strenuous activity and can require lifting and carrying loads in excess of 100 lbs. Shift work will include 12 hour shift. Friendly Medical Transportation is a 24/7 service. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses. Administer basic life support and advanced life support as required, including airway management and medication administration. Perform triage in emergency situations to prioritize patient care effectively. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and medical history. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in emergency settings, including hospitals and urgent care facilities. Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to inform treatment decisions. Execute physical examinations and monitor vital signs throughout patient transport. Adhere to aseptic techniques during procedures such as venipuncture and injection administration. Operate emergency vehicles safely while responding to calls for service. Engage in heavy lifting as necessary when transferring patients or equipment. Experience Candidates should have a strong background that includes: Paramedic experience with proficiency in patient assessment and emergency response protocols. Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) used in patient care. Experience administering injections and performing venipuncture is advantageous.
