Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Special Event Paramedic, where your expertise in emergency medical services will be vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of attendees at large-scale events. This energetic role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of delivering critical patient care in fast-paced environments. You will provide immediate medical attention, assess patient conditions, and coordinate with event staff and emergency responders to manage medical incidents efficiently. Your dedication will help create a safe, enjoyable experience for all participants while showcasing your advanced clinical skills. Duties Respond promptly to medical emergencies during events, providing high-quality pre-hospital care to patients. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine severity and appropriate interventions. Manage airway security, ventilation support, and administer medications or injections following established protocols. Perform critical care procedures such as venipuncture, medication administration, and aseptic techniques to stabilize patients on-site. Monitor vital signs continuously and document patient conditions accurately for handoff to hospital staff or emergency responders. Operate emergency vehicles safely under various driving conditions while handling heavy lifting and physical demands of the role. Maintain detailed records of all patient interactions, treatments administered, and incident reports in compliance with medical standards and protocols. Requirements Valid EMT certification with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) or Paramedic are highly preferred. Proven experience in critical care environments such as hospitals, trauma centers (Level I or Level II), or emergency rooms. Strong knowledge of emergency medicine procedures, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Hands-on experience with airway management techniques and critical care transport operations. Familiarity with triage protocols and urgent care procedures in high-pressure situations. Ability to perform physical examinations, venipuncture, medication administration, and vital sign assessments accurately. Excellent driving skills with a valid driver's license; comfortable handling heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks. Prior experience working in high-volume or large-scale event settings is advantageous but not required. $27.50 - $45.00 per hour
