Assist Anesthesia Provider Position:

Mobile Paramedic (Part-Time, 1099)

Location:

Louisville, Lexington, and surrounding areas (KY)

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate with a minimum of 6 hours guaranteed compensation on booked days

Work Type:

Mobile with occasional remote administrative work

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable paramedic to assist an anesthesia provider in a mobile setting. This role involves traveling to various locations to support anesthesia services by starting IVs, obtaining patient histories, assisting with equipment setup, and allocation, and managing simple supply logistics. This position offers flexible hours/scheduling making it an excellent opportunity for a paramedic looking for additional income. While most work is done on-site, some administrative tasks may be completed remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain and document relevant patient history Establish IV access for patients in preparation for anesthesia Assist with anesthesia-related equipment transport, setup, and organization Ensure proper allocation and tracking of supplies Maintain basic inventory and restock supplies as needed Provide general support to the anesthesia provider in a professional and efficient manner Interact with patients and families to support them emotionally Basic pt monitoring and assessment skills

Qualifications:

Certified Paramedic (KY licensed) with IV skills and experience ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required Strong patient communication and assessment skills Ability to work independently and adapt to various clinical environments Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Louisville, Lexington, and surrounding areas Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented, especially in supply management Professional demeanor with a focus on patient safety and care

Schedule & Compensation:

Part-time up to full-time hours based on provider scheduling Minimum of 6 hours of guaranteed pay, per booked day Travel within the designated area required some travel incentives for >70 miles Some limited work-from-home tasks related to supply management, patient contact, and documentation This is a unique opportunity for a paramedic looking to work outside the traditional ambulance or hospital setting and expand their clinical experience while enjoying flexible days/hours with guaranteed compensation on booked days.
