Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose : Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Provides basic and advanced life support (ALS) interventions as needed. Assess es patient conditions, establish priorities, and implement appropriate treatment plans. Administer s medications, perform procedures, and use medical equipment according to protocols. Safely transport s patients to healthcare facilities while monitoring and documenting their condition. Communicate s effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Maintain s accurate patient care reports and complies with all regulatory and organizational requirements. Participate s in continuous professional development, training, and quality improvement initiatives. E nsure s the maintenance, cleanliness, and readiness of emergency medical equipment and vehicles. Operates all vehicles in a safe, courteous and efficient manner Performs Point of Care ( POC ) testing with approval of Administration Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Requirements Education
- High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned. Experience
- No experience required .
One (1) year pre-hospital care experience preferred In Lieu Of A Provisional Paramedic certification from another Emergency Medical Servi ce COMPACT State (EMS COMPACT) meets education and Paramedic certification requirements . O btain ing conventional State required certification and National Registry ( NREMT ) certification must occur within twelve months of hire. Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses State or Provisional approved Paramedic certification A valid driver's license; an acceptable motor vehicle record, as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart.
