Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Charge Paramedic to provide clinical leadership and operational support during assigned shifts. The Lead Paramedic serves as the senior field clinician, ensuring high-quality patient care, supporting crews, coordinating daily operations, and serving as a resource for EMTs and paramedics. This is a working leadership position that includes responding to emergency and non-emergency calls while assisting with shift coordination and mentoring field personnel. Responsibilities Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical calls. Provide advanced life support (ALS) patient care. Serve as the clinical resource for EMTs and paramedics during the shift. Assist with daily crew assignments and unit readiness. Monitor equipment, medications, and vehicle readiness. Mentor new employees and assist with field training. Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and documentation standards. Coordinate with dispatch, hospitals, and partner agencies. Assist with quality improvement initiatives and incident documentation. Support supervisors during high-acuity or multi-unit incidents. Promote professionalism, teamwork, and excellent customer service. QualificationsRequired Current State Paramedic License National Registry (if applicable) Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPR certifications Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Minimum of 3-5 years of ALS field experience Strong leadership and communication skills Preferred Previous Lead Paramedic, Field Training Officer (FTO), or Charge Paramedic experience ICS 100, 200, and 700 certifications Experience with electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) Knowledge & Skills Excellent clinical decision-making Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills Ability to coach and mentor team members Effective communication under pressure Sound operational judgment Commitment to high-quality patient care Benefits Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance Leadership development opportunities
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $109,000.00 per year
