Paramedic United Critical Care - 5.0 Houston, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time 2 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Customer communication Cardiovascular emergency response PALS Certification BLS Certification ACLS Certification Paramedic License Full Job Description United Critical Care is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and highly skilled Texas Licensed Paramedic to join our growing EMS team. The Paramedic is responsible for providing safe, high-quality prehospital and interfacility patient care while maintaining professionalism, excellent clinical judgment, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Assess, treat, monitor, and transport patients according to physician orders and company protocols. Perform advanced life support (ALS) procedures within the Texas Paramedic scope of practice. Administer medications and perform advanced airway management when indicated. Document all patient care accurately and completely using the electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) system. Operate ambulances safely in accordance with state laws and company policies. Communicate effectively with hospitals, physicians, dispatch, and other healthcare providers. Maintain ambulance readiness by completing daily vehicle and equipment inspections. Ensure all medical equipment is clean, functional, and adequately stocked. Participate in continuing education, training, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain a professional appearance and represent United Critical Care with integrity and respect. Follow all infection control, safety, HIPAA, and company policies. Minimum Qualifications Current Texas Paramedic certification. Current National Registry (preferred but not required). Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 pounds with assistance. Preferred Qualifications 1 year of ALS experience (preferred). Critical Care or Community Paramedic experience is a plus. Experience with interfacility transports is preferred. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull patients and equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in various weather conditions. Ability to work 12- or 14 hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
