Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our emergency medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including skilled nursing facilities, stand alone emergency rooms, and ICUs. This role requires a strong commitment to patient assessment, triage, and medication administration while ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during transport to Level I Trauma Centers and other medical facilities.
Responsibilities Team Leadership:
Supervise and support EMTs and other emergency personnel, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
Medical Procedures:
Perform procedures such as intravenous therapy, defibrillation, and advanced cardiac life support. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Perform physical examinations and document findings accurately. Provide emergency medical care in various environments, including urgent care settings and during transport. Triage patients effectively to prioritize treatment based on the severity of their condition. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in hospitals and trauma centers to ensure continuity of care.
Regulatory Compliance:
Adhere to all medical protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Training and Education:
Stay updated with the latest medical practices and protocols. Participate in continuing education and training programs.
Equipment Management:
Maintain and inspect medical equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for emergencies. Operate emergency vehicles safely while responding to calls for service. Maintain equipment and supplies, including durable medical equipment (DME), ensuring readiness for emergencies. Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Qualifications Current Paramedic certification from an accredited program. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications, and BLS/CPR. Strong leadership and decision-problem solving skills. Experience in patient care within hospital settings or urgent care environments is preferred. Strong skills in medication administration, triage, and patient assessment. Ability to perform under pressure in high-stress situations while maintaining professionalism. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Knowledge of emergency protocols and procedures relevant to trauma care at Level I Trauma Centers is advantageous. HFNC experience is a perk.
