Job Description

Hyperbaric Technologist - Wound Healing Center Full Time | 1.0 FTE | Day Shift At PeaceHealth, we believe healing happens best when patients feel cared for, supported, and safe. We're looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Hyperbaric Technologist to join our Wound Healing Center team and help deliver specialized care that improves lives every day. The pay range for this position is $28.73 - $43.09 per hour , depending on experience, education, certifications, seniority, and other factors. About the Role As a Hyperbaric Technologist, you'll play an important role in helping patients heal through hyperbaric oxygen therapy and related diagnostic services. Working closely with hyperbaric physicians and the care team, you'll support patients throughout their treatment journey — providing both clinical expertise and compassionate care. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, values teamwork, and takes pride in creating a safe and supportive healing environment. What You'll Do Provide hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing under the supervision of a hyperbaric physician Support patients before, during, and after treatment by monitoring their comfort, safety, and response to therapy Educate patients and families about hyperbaric treatment, including benefits, risks, safety precautions, and what to expect Perform patient care activities such as vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, dressing changes, wound care (within scope), and treatment documentation Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling and coordination of treatments Ensure equipment is clean, safe, and functioning properly according to infection prevention and safety standards Monitor inventory and supplies while helping maintain an organized clinical environment Collaborate with physicians and leadership to evaluate patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed Contribute to quality improvement efforts and support a culture of continuous learning and excellence What You Bring We're looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with empathy, professionalism, and a patient-first mindset. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Current certification, licensure, or accredited training in one of the following: Respiratory Therapist Physician Assistant EMT or Paramedic LPN or RN Military Corpsman Physiologist Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) Completion of — or willingness to complete within 18 months of hire: An approved hyperbaric medicine introductory course 480 clinical hours in hyperbaric, undersea, or aviation medicine technology Hyperbaric certification (CHS or CHT) Completion of the Transcutaneous Oxygen Monitoring (TCOM) module as part of clinical internship Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire Ongoing continuing education in hyperbaric or undersea medicine Skills That Help You Succeed Strong attention to detail and patient safety Compassionate communication and patient education skills Ability to stay calm and focused in a clinical environment Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to care Comfort using computers and Microsoft Office applications Why Join PeaceHealth?
