HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
As a Community Navigator , you will serve as a trusted resource for individuals, families, and community members seeking access to healthcare coverage, nutrition assistance, housing resources, and other essential services. You will assist families with electronic applications for AHCCCS (Health-e-Arizona PLUS), SNAP benefits, and other community support programs while helping individuals understand, apply for, and enroll in health coverage through the Marketplace. You will connect community members with resources that improve their overall well-being and help reduce barriers to care. In addition, you will facilitate health education workshops, screenings, and outreach activities designed to empower individuals and families to make informed health decisions. Through community engagement and relationship-building, you will help increase access to services and strengthen the impact of Keogh's programs throughout the communities we serve.
WHO YOU ARE?
You are passionate about helping others and thrive when building connections within diverse communities. You enjoy educating, advocating, and guiding people through complex systems while treating every individual with dignity and respect. Ideally, you are bilingual in English and Spanish, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You possess strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a genuine commitment to improving health outcomes and access to resources for underserved populations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education /
Background:
Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing both English and Spanish, with the ability to transition seamlessly between languages. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a healthcare setting or related field. Knowledge of local community demographics, resources, and needs.
